This campsite enjoys a position well back from the hustle and bustle, where nights are quiet and facilities are of a high standard. The 300 touring pitches are divided into areas for caravans, motorhomes and tents and are on neatly formed terraces beneath tall pine trees. One third have electricity (6/10A), water and drainage. The site is quite hilly and the narrow roads that wind around it could possibly make it difficult for larger motorhomes to manoeuvre and find suitable pitches. At night, wardens ensure that security and noise levels are controlled. A 1 km. walk takes you to the town of Arcachon where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
However, the campsite bar, restaurant and takeaway are open from April to October if you prefer to stay on site. Watersports, paragliding, sailing, tennis tournaments, climbing the biggest sand dune in Europe, and not forgetting such gastronomic delights as oysters and mussels, are readily available.
