Clair Matin can be found at the heart of the Belledonne Massif, 35 km. northeast of Grenoble. The nearby spa town of Allevard les Bains is a popular winter sports resort but has much appeal for summer holidays too. The three hectare site has 117 pitches, of which the 84 for touring have 2-10A electricity (seven also with water and waste water), are grassy and offer reasonable shade. Thirty-three are occupied by mobile homes and chalets (available for rent). An area has been allocated to motorhomes and a special overnight rate is available.

Walking and mountain biking are very popular in the area, and the site’s owners will be able to recommend possible routes, including the massive Parc National de la Vanoise to the east. Bicycle hire is available in the village. The thermal spa at Allevard provides a range of services, including music therapy as well as more traditional options.
