High in the quiet hills of the southern Ardèche, among the sweet chestnut trees, a warm welcome awaits you at this small, terraced site. M. and Mme. Rouvier are very keen to promote a quiet, family atmosphere. Personal contact with their guests is important, and weekly entertainment is tailored to guests’ needs. For instance, M. Rouvier will lead walks, arrange boules competitions against other campsites and canyoning and canoe trips on the river. There are 45 pitches (23 with 6/10A electricity), and 28 mobile homes and chalets for hire. Pitches are of varying sizes, some on grass and some gravel, and some are only accessible for tents.

Canoe trips will bring guests back to the site. Aquagym is featured three times a week. The well-fenced swimming pool has a children’s shallow area and a jacuzzi with a panoramic view over the vines and forested valley sides of the Alune river. The campsite is within the confluence of three rivers, la Beaume, la Drobie, and Alune. It is a ten minute walk to this river where there is a pleasant bathing and fishing area. The return journey is steep to start but manageable and easier towards the end. There is also a path from the campsite to La Beaume. A small, good quality play area is provided for young children. Les Cruses enables visitors to set their own pace and without pressure for a relaxing holiday. Very large units may find the tight bends a problem and American-style motorhomes are not accepted.

The toilet block is up to date and clean with preset showers and a few en-suite shower, toilet and basin cabins. Baby room. Accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry room. Bar, restaurant and pizzeria providing good food (weekends only in low season). Swimming pool (1/5-18/9). Play area. Covered area for pétanque. Games room. Activities arranged. Good air conditioned chalets, mobile homes and Romany type caravans for rent. Gas barbecues only. WiFi on part of site (free).

From Joyeuse take the D203 towards Ribes. Turn left at D450 signed Ribes and continue for 1 km. The site is signed on the left some 1 km. before the village.
