Settle in for a stay 1,400 metres above sea level at Camping Cadí Vacances – in the foothills of the Pyrenees; this sky-high Catalan site is handily located a 10-minute walk from the small town of Gósol.

You will find a warm welcome around this laidback campsite, which is splendidly set for days of exploring the forests and mountains of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. There are plenty of Mountain-biking and 4x4 trails for those who like the adventure; Camping Cadí Vacances is a hub for hikers, too: this Lérida site is a 10-minute walk from the path leading from Gósol to the lofty peak of Pedraforca.

Back at base, there are pools and a sauna on hand for a post-trek treat, and you can book yourself in for a massage if you need a proper pamper. There is an on-site bar and restaurant for those who don't want to cook; guests can also bring a barbecue (supplies can be picked up in Gósol). The site also has sports courts, a bouldering wall, a children's playground and a games room.

Directions to Camping Cadí Vacances

From the Cadi Tunnel in Guardiola de Bergueda direction Saldes. Gosol is a few kilometres past the Pedraforca. Ideal starting point if you want to climb this mountain.
