Alan Rogers Review
Camping Bon Port is a traditional, family owned site on the edge of the Petit Camargue some 12 km. from good sandy beaches. It has infact been in the hands of the same family for 30 years. Although open at the beginning of April, the facilities are not open until later (pool complex mid-June, shop, bar and restaurant July to August). There are over 200 pitches in total with around 80 occupied by mobile homes to rent or privately owned. The touring pitches here are on level grass, mostly hedged, with good shade from mature trees and 6A electricity. The site is within easy access of both Nimes and Montpellier. The area is not only famous for its wines and Muscat but also for the black bulls, white horses and pink flamingos.
There is a range of entertainment for adults in the evenings and a children’s club in high season. A play area and multisports court have been provided for youngsters, as well as the swimming pool complex complete with toboggan.
Facilities
Three toilet blocks, rather old fashioned in design but seem to provide all necessary facilities including those for disabled visitors and babies. Washing machine. Motorhome services. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway (July/Aug). Bread available to order early in the season. Heated swimming pool with toboggan (15/5-15/9). Play area. Multisports court. Club for children (high season). Activities and entertainment for adults. No charcoal barbecues. WiFi (charged).
Location
From A9 autoroute exit 26, follow signs for la Grande Motte on the D61. Site is 2 km. south of Lunel, signed on the left. Follow small road to site entrance on right.
