This spacious and peaceful site is run by a very friendly family who have made many improvements, making it comfortable and welcoming. It lies in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, south of the Vercors National Park. The 130 pitches (70 for touring) are level with rough grass, slightly uneven and separated by a variety of trees offering some shade (rock pegs advised). All have electricity (10A). At the centre of the site is an attractive lake of 2.5 hectares with warm, clean water fed by springs, making it ideal for swimming and fishing. A good bar, restaurant and terrace overlook the lake and there is plenty of space for children to play.

An evening stroll around the lake is recommended. The site is near the very small Bez river and not far from the interesting and ancient small town of Die, the home of the famous Clairette de Die – a sparkling wine mentioned in dispatches by the Romans around 40AD. This is a very good site for exploring this picturesque part of France, and to completely unwind and enjoy the views, the beautiful sunset over the mountains and the very clean air.

Facilities

Two clean toilet blocks, one new, the other refurbished, with all the necessary facilities. Baby room. Facilities for disabled campers. Bar/restaurant, takeaway. TV/games room (all season). Covered heated swimming pool and paddling pool (all season). Motorhome services. Play area bordering the lake which has footpaths around it, bathing and fishing. Pedaloes. Large sports/play area. Bicycle hire. WiFi in bar/terrace area (charged). Charcoal barbecues not permitted. Visitors with dogs should contact site first.

Take D93 southeast from Die, signed Gap. After 5 km, at Pont de Quart, turn left on D539 signed Châtillon-en-Diois. After 4 km. bear right onto D140, site signed. Site shortly on left.
