Campingplatz Birnau-Maurach is in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, Baden-Württemberg, located by Lake Constance. The site has 180 grass pitches, of which 120 are for touring and has 16-amp hook-up points available with views of Lake Constance, the island of Mainau and the Swiss mountains. Boat owners also appreciate the site's slipway. There are plenty of activities to keep the younger campers active whilst staying at this site as there is a playground and a football pitch. There is also a youth room with table tennis, Darts, pool tables and table football. The site also has a common room used during high season as the base for the children's entertainment program. Yoga lessons and similar events are also held here. A grocery store and a restaurant with a lakeside terrace complete the on-site amenities.

The site offers various cycle routes and is located below the famous Birnau monastery church. The open-air museum in Uhldingen with the reconstructed dwellings from the Stone and Bronze Ages is one of the most important sights in the region. The harbour of Uhldingen, impresses with its Mediterranean flair. The central location of the site on the northern shore of Lake Constance offers you a variety of excursion destinations, all of which you can reach as a day trip.

Directions to Camping Birnau-Maurach

From the A81 at junction 40 join the B33 in the direction of Konstanz. Stay on this road to the ferry port and cross to Meersburg. Now continue on the B33 in the direction of Markdorf and Oberteuringen.

To avoid the ferry, from the A81 at junction 40 join the A98 to junction 13 and join the B31 towards Bodmin-Ludwigshafen, Sipplingen and Stetten. At Stetten join the B33 towards Markdorf and continue as above.

From the A8 junction 62 at Ulm follow signs to the town and join A28 towards Senden and next take the B30 in the direction of Bad Wald see and Ravensburg. Now the B33 in the direction of Markdorf/Meersburg and then on the B31 in the direction of Überlingen. At Uhldingen-Mühlhofen join the L201 and shortly Bodensee-Schloss-Maurach. The site is the on the left off this road.
