Alan Rogers Review of Camping Belvédère de l’Obiou
This extremely good and well maintained small Alpine site, with just 45 pitches, is close to the Ecrins National Park, with great mountain views. It is therefore ideal for walkers and cyclists looking to take advantage of the well marked trails. It has most things a good site should have, with its restaurant, heated pool and sitting room with TV and library. The welcoming owners will even supply you with breakfast. The views from the 45 terraced pitches are spectacular and there is a wealth of activities in the area ranging from bungee jumping and high walkways across the lake to a more sedate trip by boat to take in the stunning views. Mobile homes are available to rent as well as two comfortable rooms.
Facilities at Camping Belvédère de l’Obiou
Two modern toilet blocks, one part of the main building, the other a prefabricated unit, are immaculate and can be heated. High standard accessible facilities. Excellent laundry. Motorhome services (€ 5). Small shop for ice-cream and soft drinks. Restaurant (May-Sept) with local speciality menu, high quality takeaway and breakfast. Heated swimming pool (May-Sept). Good play area. Small dog exercise area. WiFi on pitches (free).

The site is just off the N85 (Route Napoleon) between Grenoble and Gap, 7 km. south of La Mure and is clearly signed on the left.
