Alan Rogers Review
Peschiera is a picturesque village on the southern shore of Lake Garda, and Camping Bella Italia is a very attractive, large, well organised and very busy site in the grounds of a former farm, just west of the centre of the village.
Half of the 1,200 pitches are occupied by the site’s own mobile homes and chalets and by tour operators; there are some 400 touring pitches, most towards the lakeside and reasonably level on grass under trees. All have 16A electricity, water and wastewater and are separated by shrubs.
There are some fine views across the lake to the mountains beyond. A superb promenade allows direct access to the town.
Bella Italia collaborates with Cisano/San Vito (IT63570) and Butterfly (IT62520). The site slopes gently down to the lake with access to the water for watersports and swimming. A feature of the site is the group of pools of varying shapes and sizes with an entertainment area and varied sports provision nearby. A range of supervised activities is organised. Regulations are in place to ensure that the site is peaceful. English and Dutch are spoken by the friendly staff. Although large, this site has not lost its personal touch, and their sixty years of experience has been wisely used.
