Surrounded by mountains alongside the Muga river, Bassegoda Park is a place to experience Spain in a natural environment but with a touch of luxury. This totally rebuilt site is just beyond Albanyà on the edge of the Alta Garrotxa National Park in an area of great beauty. In their own area, the 58 touring pitches are level and shaded, all on hardstanding and with access to electricity, water and drainage. Tents are dotted informally in the terraced forest areas. Particular care has been taken in the landscaping, layout and design of the attractive pool, bar and restaurant, the hub of the site. Regional wines and dishes are available in the reasonably priced restaurant.

The enthusiastic young director, Esteve Guerra (Steve), who speaks excellent English, and his assistant, Laura, have been working hard to make a stay at Bassegoda Park a memorable experience. Two separate areas provide modern, attractive chalets, 14 pitches are occupied by seasonal caravans, whilst walkers engaged in the famous GR11 treks camp on the upper terraced slopes. The site is designed with touring units placed in a separate area, and around 60 mobile homes in a pretty village setting. The excellent sporting facilities, children’s club and a high season programme of activities for adults and children make this an ideal site for a family holiday whilst being in tune with nature.

A new spacious and well equipped, main toilet building is centrally located and provides controllable showers and facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Two smaller refurbished blocks. Directions to Camping Bassegoda Park

From Barcelona on AP7/E15 exit 3 take GI510 to Llers, St Llorenc de la Muga and Albanyà. Site is beyond the village (sharp bend), well signed. From France take exit 3 then GI510 to Llers. The road from the village to site is l km. and narrow.
