Between the beaches of the Bassin d’Arcachon and the Atlantic Ocean, Aux Couleurs du Ferret is situated in the heart of a pine forest at the entrance of the Cap Ferret Peninsula. The 38 spacious and flat touring pitches are up to 125 sq.m with 3/6A electricity, all in a natural setting under the shade of a variety of trees. There are cabins and mobile homes of different sizes available to rent. The site is ideal for discovering the surrounding nature reserves and nearby beaches especially via the 150 km. of cycle paths that can be accessed from the site.

Aux Couleurs du Ferret is 3 km. from the beaches of Arcachon Bay and 7 km. from the Atlantic beaches. The coastline of this area is characterised by long, sandy surfing beaches which are flanked by pine forests and are a haven for flora and fauna. The nearby Dune de Pilat is a national landmark and at 107 m. is the highest sand dune in Europe with excellent views of the Bassin d’ Arcachon. L’Isle aux Oiseaux as the name implies, has abundant bird life and the area also has a number of nature reserves and salt meadows. There is excellent swimming at La Plage de la Conche Saint-Brice and the site is located on the route du Vin de Médoc both of which are accessible via the cycle network.

The site is west of Bordeaux. From Bordeaux ring road take A63 to Arcachon/Bayonne. Exit 23 towards Marcheprime then D5 towards Lacanan. Then D106 towards Ares/Lege-Cap-Ferret. Site is at exit of village Lege-Cap-Ferret.
