Alan Rogers Review of Camping Au Vallon Rouge
Situated in the valley next to the river Loup, this small site lies close to the Côte d’Azur, but up in the hills away from all the bustle of the Mediterranean coast. The climate here is pleasant with fine days, but cooler evenings. The entrance to the site is a little tight, but once installed you can truly relax amongst the cork, oak, pine and mimosa. The three hectare site is reasonably flat with many umbrella pines for shade. There are 60 separated pitches for touring caravans and tents, 60-90 sq.m. in size and all with 10A electricity. Some pitches are on the banks of the Loup.
There is a small shop and a restaurant. The swimming pool is quite large for a small site (9x18 m.) with a paved sunbathing area and sunbeds provided.
Facilities at Camping Au Vallon Rouge
Two toilet blocks are kept clean and include washbasins in cubicles and spacious showers. Accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry areas and washing machines. Small shop, bar/restaurant and takeaway (15/6-10/9). Swimming pool (all season). Multisports area. Play area. Electronic games. Fishing. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged). Only gas barbecues are permitted.
Directions to Camping Au Vallon Rouge
Leave A8 at exit 47 on D6 towards Grasse. Follow signs and site is on the right. Due to the very steep entrance road, larger units should stop at the top access gate and ask for assistance.
