Alan Rogers Review of Camping Au Bocage du Lac
This well kept former municipal site is on the edge of a small village beside a 172-acre lake, 800 metres from the pretty historic village of Jugon les Lacs and a short drive from the sea. It offers 119 large touring pitches, most with electrical connections, set on gently sloping grass and divided by shrubs and bushes, with mature trees providing shade. Just over 50 wooden chalets and mobile homes are interspersed with the touring pitches. On-site facilities include an excellent swimming pool complex with heated outdoor pool with children’s sections and sunbathing patio. There is also an extensive play area and numerous activities for all to enjoy - especially the children.
A varied programme of activities and entertainment for the whole family is provided all season and the site becomes very lively during school holidays. At other times it is quiet and peaceful. The whole site is securely fenced and access to the lake with its beach, fishing and sailing is through coded gates. The village is an easy walk along the lakeside and has shops, bars and restaurants and a small supermarket. The campsites south facing indoor pool complex boasts fabulous views across the lake.The delightful historic town of Dinan is just 20 km. to the east and the attractive Breton coastline with its beaches and rocky coves is a short drive to the north.
