Arinella is a smart, lively, site with a strong family orientation, on Corsica’s east coast. There are 137 good sized touring pitches with 10A electricity available (Europlug). Level and grassy, they are amply shaded by a variety of trees and shrubs. Some pitches overlook attractive lakes which have fountains and are lit at night. The site has direct access to a huge long beach of soft sand. The brilliantly designed resort-style pool complex with two pools and a paddling pool, is overlooked by a large restaurant, terraced bar and very professional entertainment area, forming the hub of Arinella Bianca. The very active and well organised children’s club is impressive. Watch for some unmarked drops in level at one toilet block and near the restaurant. We feel that this site is not suitable for disabled campers.

When we visited, the site was buzzing with activity at night and appeared to delight everyone with its very professional family entertainment (although prices are high). This site includes a wellness centre plus a boutique and offers a vast range of services and plenty of sport and leisure facilities for families. It is a tribute to its owner’s design and development skills as it appears to be in entirely natural glades when, in fact, these have been created from former marshland.

Four unisex, open plan sanitary blocks provide solar heated showers, washbasins in cabins, mainly British style WCs. Accessible facilities (unlocked). Baby room. Laundry. Motorhome services. Supermarket. Boutique. Bar and restaurant with terrace. Wellness centre. Amphitheatre. Snack bar. Excellent pools (18/4-10/10, heated). Multisports centre. Windsurfing. Canoeing. Fishing. Tennis. Riding. Bicycle hire. Canyoning can be organised. Miniclub and teenagers’ club (23/5-12/9). Unfenced play area. Disco. Superb entertainment programme (23/5-19/9). Communal barbecue area. WiFi (free). Only 1 dog per pitch (not July/Aug, under 10 kg).

Location

Site is 4 km. east of Ghisonaccia. From N198 in Ghisonaccia look for sign ‘La Plage, Li Mare’. Turn east on D144 at roundabout just south of town. Continue for 3.5 km. to further roundabout where site is signed to right. Site is 500 m.
