If you imagine a typical Greek campsite as being set immediately behind a small sandy beach in a quiet cove with pitches amongst pine and olive trees that stretch a long way back to the small coast road, then you have found your ideal site. Camping Areti is beautifully located just off the beaten track on the peninsula of Sithonia. It has 130 pitches for touring units. The olive groves at the rear provide hidden parking spaces for caravans and boats, and small boats can be launched from the beach. The Charalambidi family maintain their site to very high standards and visitors will not be disappointed.

Olive, pine and eucalyptus trees provide shade for the grassed pitches, and when we visited in mid-June there was a wonderful display of cacti in full bloom by the entrance. The site, with its quiet, picturesque location, good facilities and friendly management has justly won many recommendations, and represents camping at its best; it is the ideal place to spend some time after the long journey down to Greece.

Three excellent toilet blocks include showers, WCs and washbasins. Kitchen with sinks, electric hobs and fridges. Laundry with washing machines. Small shop and restaurant. Sandy beach. Fishing, sailing and swimming. Communal barbecues. Free WiFi over part of site. Bungalows to rent. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, max. 1 per pitch.

Directions to Camping Areti

Although the postal address is Neos Marmaras the site is 12 km. south. Stay on main coast road, past casino resort at Porto Carras and 5 km. further on turn right towards the site (signed). Then turn right again down to coast and turn left and on for 1.5 km. Turn right into site access road. Reception is 700 m.
