Set in a beautiful open alpine valley alongside an unspoilt rural lake in the southern part of the Steiermark region and on the slopes of Mount Zirbitz, this family-run site will provide you with a warm welcome and a relaxing holiday. The 60 good-sized pitches are well spaced on open grassy terraces, and with only about 25 long-stay units, mostly in a separate area, there is plenty of room for touring units. 50 of which have electricity hook-up points.

From the reception, you can order bread, milk, eggs and basic provisions. A small café/snack bar with a terrace which overlooks the lake serves regional dishes made with local produce. The lake can be used for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and paddle boats.

Once a week in season the site organises a barbecue, pasta or goulash evening, and activities for children and all the family take place most days. Also for children there is an imaginative playground with a pirate ship. Younger children enjoy the pets’ corner with rabbits and goats. Guided walks with free transport are organised three times a week.

A modern heated sanitary unit provides spacious hot showers, some washbasins in cubicles, and child-size showers and washbasins. Hairdressing and shaving areas. The laundry room also has a baby bath and changing facility. No accessible facilities. Communal barbecue. Playground. Pets’ Corner. Trampoline. Lake for swimming, fishing and boating. Bicycle hire.

Directions to Camping Am Badesee

Mühlen is southwest of Judenburg. From west on A10, take exit 104 (St Michael im Lungau) and head east on road 96 through Murau to Scheiffling. Turn right (south) on B317 to Neumarkt and, towards the end of village, turn left on B92 to Mühlen. Site is 5.8 km. on right.
