Camping Alkioni is situated about 50 km west of Athens in the bay of Agia Sotira and provides a beachside location with a backdrop of tree-clad mountains. It offers a relaxing escape from everyday life with pleasant walks around the craggy headland and wonderful views out to sea. Explore further along the coast and discover enticing little coves and secret bays.

There are 167 pitches for touring units and tents, accessed by a winding tarmac road which slopes down to the small shingle beach. Pitches are flat and on terraces at various levels. Facilities include four good toilet blocks, a beach bar, a restaurant and a shop.

The restaurant, with a covered terrace set among palm trees, is a popular haunt over lunchtimes and provides excellent views of the Alkionides islands. Away from the beach, there is plenty of scope for cycling and hiking through the wooded hills of the interior.

Four toilet blocks include showers, WCs and washbasins. Solar panels together with a new gas installation for hot water. Electric hobs for cooking. Lounge area. Small shop. Restaurant. Beachside bar. Volleyball. Basketball. Direct beach access. Free WiFi.

Directions to Camping Alkioni

Leave Athens-Corinth motorway at Loutraki exit, bear right and go through Loutraki. Ahead is a mountain peak (1,032 m) and you have to climb around this to the site. Enter Perachora and fork right to Pisia and Schinos. Go through Pisia and descend towards Schinos and coast. Turn left at start of the village to small square. Do a U-turn towards Strava on a narrow road finally bearing right down to site.
