Les Vaudois is located at the edge of the Parc National des Ecrins. The site stands on the banks of the River Gyronde and at the foot of Mont Brison, France’s highest limestone rock face. There are very few amenities here and many visitors love the back-to-basics nature of the site. There are 150 touring pitches, of which just 20 are equipped with electricity (6A Europlug). The site is ideal for groups and clubs seeking adventure sports and is well located for a wide range of activities, including white-water rafting, rock climbing and mountain biking.
The Parc National des Ecrins is a vast area, one of only nine French national parks, established back in 1913 as the Parc National Bérarde. There are over 700 km. of marked footpaths in the park and a great wealth of wildlife.
