Camp Sokol Troja

Alan Rogers Review
This site is very close to the Vltava river, although you cannot see it, and there has been heavy flooding in the past. There are 75 touring pitches (10A electricity), they are small (80-90 sq.m) and about half are on hardstanding. The grass pitches can become muddy with rain. The access road is narrow and manoeuvring space is limited, so the site may be less suitable for large caravans and motorhomes. Nevertheless, it is only a 15/20 minute journey to the centre of the city by bus.
There is a bus stop in front of the site, and a tram (no. 17) is a 300 m. walk away. Unlike many of the municipal sites near Prague, Sokol Troja has few facilities and little entertainment. The restaurant serves real Czech meals at very reasonable prices (many locals eat here) – you don’t have to go to town for good value meals.
The heated, refurbished toilet block has toilets, washbasins with hot and cold water and preset showers in cabins without curtain or door. Cleaning can be variable. Facilities for disabled visitors. Motorhome services. Campers’ kitchen with hob, microwave and fridge. Restaurant with breakfast service.

From Dresden or Teplice, follow signs to the centre and turn right before the first bridge over the Moldau into the Kozlovka Pátkova, in the Troja district. Site is well signed from here.
