Alan Rogers Review
This is a long narrow site that enjoys attractive views over the bay at the western end. This part of the site is very popular and becomes quite crowded, while in the bar/restaurant area there is music playing for most of the day.
The site is popular with families with young children, and a much-used public cycle/pedestrian path, formally a railway line linking Triest with Porec, runs through it. There are 550 reasonably level pitches (300 for tourers) on grass/gravel, around half of which have 6A electricity. There is a separate terrace for tents. There can be some aircraft noise.
The site is ideally placed for coastal walks. Just 300 m. from the campsite there is a good sports centre with a range of amenities including football, tennis and minigolf. Further afield, day trips to Trieste and the Slovenian coastal towns are possible, while Venice is a long day out. In addition, Lucija’s close proximity to the Croatian border makes touring into Istria easy.
