Alan Rogers Review
This is a long narrow site that enjoys attractive views over the bay at the western end. This part of the site is very popular and becomes quite crowded, while in the bar/restaurant area there is music playing for most of the day.
The site is popular with families with young children, and a much-used public cycle/pedestrian path, formally a railway line linking Triest with Porec, runs through it. There are 550 reasonably level pitches (300 for tourers) on grass/gravel, around half of which have 6A electricity. There is a separate terrace for tents. There can be some aircraft noise.
The site is ideally placed for coastal walks. Just 300 m. from the campsite there is a good sports centre with a range of amenities including football, tennis and minigolf. Further afield, day trips to Trieste and the Slovenian coastal towns are possible, while Venice is a long day out. In addition, Lucija’s close proximity to the Croatian border makes touring into Istria easy.
Five sanitary blocks (one near reception is heated) all have showers and washbasins. Facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine. Motorhome services. Shop (Seasonal) Bar/snack bar and restaurant. Playground. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi.
Approaching from the north (Koper), head south on road 111 beyond Portoroz and continue to Lucija. At bottom of hill, at traffic lights, turn right and follow camping signs.Link to campsite location map on google
