Alan Rogers Review of Braemar Caravan Park
Braemar Caravan Park and Camping Pods are the perfect base for walking, hiking, cycling, photography, snow sports, history, arts and crafts and much more. Braemar Caravan Park is situated In the beautiful village of Braemar, Royal Deeside, at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Operated by the Invercauld Estate, managed for wildlife, sport, recreation and community. The Estate hosts Scotland’s highest 18-hole golf course at Braemar and the Glenshee Ski Centre, which can offer some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the UK. The Estate also provides salmon fishing and mile upon mile of glorious walks.
The site has 97 touring pitches, each with an electric hook-up point. Please note some pitches are slightly smaller than others and are more suitable for VW-size campervans and small motorhomes without awnings. These pitches are not large enough for most awnings and are unsuitable for caravans with awnings and cars. The site also has 6 Glamping pods available for hire.

Directions to Braemar Caravan Park
From the South, the site is 50 miles north of Perth. From Perth the road climbs steadily until it reaches Glenshee Ski Centre before descending to Braemar. Braemar Caravan Park is on the left just after the snow gates as you enter the village. From the East, the site is 59miles From Aberdeen. Follow the A93 through Banchory and Ballater, and follow the signposts to Braemar. Drive through the village on the A93, the Caravan Park is south of the village on the right before you reach the snow gates. The A939 from Grantown-on-Spey via Tomintoul to Ballater is not recommended for towing unless you have an extremely well powered unit as there are some steep gradients and a humpback bridge. It does, however, make a spectacular drive from the site.
