Alan Rogers Review of Bolmynydd Camping Park
The drive to Bolmynydd is not for the faint hearted. The roads are extremely narrow with plenty of bends, and are accessible only by cars and small VW-style camper vans; the site is not licensed for touring caravans or motorhomes. However, those who do make the drive are rewarded with spectacular views and a campsite which is ideal for tents and those who wish for peace and quiet in a wonderful rural setting. One field is available for tents and other fields offer safe play areas for young children. With 16 seasonal caravan pitches and 40 tent pitches, the owners request that you telephone ahead to discuss access and availability.
The well maintained sanitary block serves both the camping fields and caravan pitches. There is no games room or swimming pool, just beautiful Welsh scenery and nature. A new toilet block is planned for 2016.
Facilities at Bolmynydd Camping Park
One clean sanitary block, maintained to a high standard (may be under pressure in peak season). Separate modern showers, toilets and open style washbasins. Baby bath in well equipped laundry room. No motorhome services. WiFi over site.
Directions to Bolmynydd Camping Park
From Pwllheli take the A499 toward Abersoch. After 4 miles pass through Llanbedrog and at the campsite sign turn sharp left. Continue for half a mile, site is on the left. Do not follow sat nav into the village of Llanbedrog, instead proceed past and turn at the brown sign.
