Blucamp is an attractive site in a tranquil setting with fabulous views, near the pretty village of Campiglia Marittima. The islands of Elba and Capraia can be sighted as you check in at reception. The 113 touring pitches (50-80 sq.m) are terraced, all have 4A electricity (14 are fully serviced) and trees provide shade. One area is set aside for tents only and cars are parked off the pitches in numbered bays. This is a very peaceful site with attentive owners and would suit those who prefer not to holiday on the more lively and larger coastal sites.

The site is entirely for tourers. It is busy in high season, but is very quietly situated, 8 km. back from the sea. As the site is set so high it catches welcome cool breezes. The local area has a history of Etruscan metal mining, with the fascinating miner’s castle of the San Silvestro Valley. There is a ferry connection to Elba and Corsica 19 km. distant and many areas of interest in the locality.

Facilities at Blucamp

Two fully modernised and one new toilet block have mostly British and some squat style WCs and solar heated water. Six private sanitary units on pitches for hire. Accessible facilities, Washing machine. Delightful restaurant/bar with a pretty terrace is run by a separate family and offers good Tuscan food. Bread and milk available daily. Attractive small swimming pool. Free WiFi on part of site. Barbecues are not permitted.

Directions to Blucamp

Site is northeast of Piombino. Take exit for San Vincenzo Sud off the main S1 road (Livorno to Follonica). Follow signs for Campiglia Marittima then camping signs from town. Site is well signed 1 km. from town.
