Askeviks Camping & Stugor is a terraced, all-year site in the Västra Götaland Region near to Vänern's sandy beach with magnificent views over the lake and lovely sunsets. The site has 131 pitches of which 90 are for touring units and have a 10-amp hook-up points and there are 11 bungalows or log cabins available to hire.

Fill your days with activities and adventure or take a break. You can go fishing on Vänern from a boat, play with the children in the playground or relax in the wood-fired sauna by the beach. Vänern is the largest lake in Sweden and angling enthusiasts can fish there during the whole year. The harbour also has a restaurant and there is a child-friendly sandy beach next to it.  Spend the day on Vänern and come back to enjoy the wood-fired sauna, then eat a well-deserved dinner in the restaurant. Sjötorp and the Göta Canal are only seven kilometres south of the site where you can find more activities for the whole family. Try out one of the restaurants, visit the fishing and handicraft cottages and the museum, or rent a bicycle from the campsite and take a tour along the canal.

Directions to Askeviks Camping & Stugor

From Gothenburg on the E20 drive north to Mariestad. Continue ahead on the E20 after the junction for after Mariestad.  Left after 6 km Route 26 in the direction of Mora. After 13 km cross the Göta Canal. After a further 7 km turn left to the site.
