Follow the road to Clarach Bay and on the seafront is Aber Bay Holiday Park , a busy, holiday style park with an enviable situation. On a wet day you may not wish to go far with the comprehensive leisure centre on site – it is open eight months of the year with reduced entry fee for campers. Although the balance of pitches is very much in favour of caravan holiday homes (3:1) which dominate the open park and bay, there are 150 touring pitches, 46 with 10A electricity and four new super pitches. They are rather small and are pressed together in two small sections on the lower part of the park.

In high season, tents, touring caravans and motorhomes can opt for space and fine views (but maybe winds) on a ridge of higher ground above the park. The well equipped leisure centre offers a heated pool, jacuzzi, solarium, sauna, steam room and gym. This complex also includes reception, a video and amusement room, ten-pin bowling, bar, buffet bar and dance room (free entertainment nightly, Easter and May-Oct). This is an ideal site for those seeking all the ‘bells and whistles’! Local buses call hourly in high season.

The heated toilet block is on the lower touring area with dishwashing facilities and laundry room, plus an accessible toilet. An accessible suite in the upper static site, with further facilities at the leisure centre (Radar key). Motorhome services. Freezer pack service. Gas supplies. Supermarket. Fun Factory. Play area designed with younger children in mind. Large sports field. Swimming pool. Licensed restaurant and takeaway (from Easter). New dog walk for 2014. WiFi over site (charge).

Directions to Aber Bay Holiday Park

Clarach is signed west from the A487 (Aberystwyth-Machynlleth) in village of Bow Street (take care at narrow bridge). Follow signs over crossroads to beach and park. Access for caravans from Aberystwyth on B4572 is difficult.
