Hillerød Camping
Hillerød is a well-maintained, neat campsite in a residential neighbourhood. Shops, cafés, and restaurants are within walking distance, not to mention the 17th-century Frederiksborg Castle and the magnificent Baroque Gardens. This is also a fine base for visiting Copenhagen and is only 25 km. from the ferries at Helsingør and the crossing to Sweden. Centrally situated, the town is a hub of main roads from all directions.
Lægårdens Camping
Found between Møn and Køge, Lægårdens Camping has around 50 touring pitches and a recently updated services building. Pitches are clearly marked and many are given over to seasonal pitches, some have shade. The 'Old Living Room' cafe offers a selection of coffees and cakes. Arts activities are available twice a week for children, alongside a knitting club in the cafe. Alongside the usual pygmy goats, the mini-zoo also has pigs, chickens and ducks. Children are encouraged to interact with the animals and experience life on a working farm. The large, modern playground features 2 bouncy castles, a zip line and slide/swings. 12 mobile homes/cabins available to rent.
Vesterlyng Camping
Vesterlyng is a pleasant, quiet site close to Føllenslev and Havnsø on Sjælland. The ground slopes towards the sea and there are views from some pitches. It is an open site but some mature trees provide shade.
Campinggården Boeslunde
Campinggården Boeslunde is a great place to stay if you are looking for a fun and relaxing camping holiday. The campsite is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. On-site, there are 150 touring pitches available with 16Amp electric hookup points. The campsite is beautifully designed, and the pitches are spacious. The campsite is on large fields, with gardens and greenery masking the fact that it is pretty large.  
First Camp Holbæk Fjord
First Camp Holbæk Fjord is on the island of Zealand in the middle of the Danish fjord landscape. The site has 348 grass pitches, of which are for 225 touring units and have  10 /16-amp hook-up points, and there are 23 mobile homes and log cabins for hire. If you like to cycle, sail, play golf or are looking for a holiday full of water fun and games, this site offers plenty of opportunities. This is not a lively site with an entertainment programme, but there are plenty of activities to get involved with. 
Nysted Camping
Nysted Strand Camping is set on the southern edge of Lolland island and prides itself on its natural, unspoilt surroundings. It is a restful, serene spot with mature beech trees, birdsong, clear waters and wonderful sea views. The beach is one of Denmark's most beautiful child-friendly beaches, being safe and great for shrimping. With Nysted bay on one side and the Baltic Sea on the other side, the campsite is an ideal location for a relaxing, fun holiday.
Sakskøbing Camping
This small, traditional-style site provides a useful stopover on the route from Germany to Sweden, within easy reach of the Puttgarden - Rødby ferry. There are 100 level grass pitches (70 for tourers), most with electricity (10A Europlug) and although there are a fair number of seasonal units, one can usually find space. There is a pool at a nearby sports centre. The site has a well-stocked shop, which is open long hours, but the attractive town centre is semi-pedestrianised and has a good range of shops and a supermarket. The town is noted for its unusual ‘smiling’ water tower, which you pass on the way to the site.
Holbæk Fjord Camping
This site has a peaceful and idyllic setting with views across Isefjorden, the marina and the golf course. It is located close to the seaside village of Holbæk. With a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the emphasis on is on wellbeing, and it is ideal for those looking for a spot of pampering in the wellness centre. There are 225 grass pitches (100 for touring), all have 16A electricity and are mostly on sloping ground. Many have a view of the fjord. There is a choice of a traditional ‘inline’ arrangement or one where several pitches are in circles bordered by low hedges. Although promoted as a quiet site, there is a heated pool and other facilities for children. The most important attractions nearby must be at Roskilde, the ancient capital of Denmark (30 km). A thousand years of Danish history is gathered in the cathedral, burial place of 39 Danish kings and queens. The Viking Museum has five original ships on display, costumes and crafts to try. Copenhagen is 60 km. away.
Bøsøre Strand Feriepark
A themed holiday site on the eastern coast of Fyn, the tales of Hans Christian Andersen are evident in the design of the indoor pool complex, the minigolf course and the main outdoor play area. The former has two pools on different levels, two hot tubs and a sauna and features characters from the stories; the latter has a fairytale castle with a moat as its centrepiece. There are 350 pitches in total (some up to 150 sq.m), and with only 25 seasonal units there should always be room for touring units out of the main season. All have 10A electricity, there are 124 multi-serviced pitches and 20 hardstandings.
Ronæs Strand Camping
Ronæs Strand Camping is a terraced campsite at the end of Gamborg Fjord on the island of Funen. It is a popular destination for families, couples, and groups, offering various accommodation options and activities to suit all needs. Ronæs Strand has 185 pitches, with 125 for touring units, all with 7/10A electricity. From some areas, there are beautiful views of the Gamborg Fjord. The marked and level pitches, a few with hardstanding, are in long rows on well-kept grass with gravel access lanes. A variety of mature trees and bushes separates these lanes. Six fully serviced pitches have electricity, water, and wastewater.
Sannes Familiecamping
Sannes Familiecamping is a 5-star campsite located in the town of Gudhjem on the Danish island of Bornholm. It is situated in a beautiful location, with stunning views of the Baltic Sea and the nearby island of Christiansø. The campsite has 400 pitches, of which 215 are for touring and have a 10-amp hook-up point available. The pitches are spacious and well-maintained, and many have direct access to the beach.
Løgismosestrand Camping
A countryside site with its own beach and pool, Løgismosestrand is surrounded by picturesque villages and the owners are a friendly young couple. The pitches here are arranged in rows and groups divided by hedges and small trees which provide some shade. All the 221 pitches for touring units have 6/10A electricity points and ten comfort pitches (up to 140 sq.m) are fully serviced. A barbecue area has been developed with gas grills and there are swimming (8x14 m) and paddling pools for which there is a small charge.
Camp Hverringe
Camp Hverringe (Bøgebjerg Strand) is one of the excellent TopCamp sites in Denmark and has a great location on the waters of the Storebælt and Romsø Sund. This makes it an ideal base for all kinds of watersports (the site rents out motor boats) or for a relaxing holiday on the beach in what is said to be one of the sunniest and driest parts of Denmark. This well-maintained campsite has 375 pitches, some with marvellous views over the sea and to Romsø Island. Around 340 level pitches for touring units, all with 10/16A electricity, are on well-kept grassy lawns separated by hedges and shrubs.
DCU Nærum Camping
Everyone arriving in Sjælland will want to visit ‘wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen’ but, like all capital cities, it draws crowds and traffic to match. This sheltered site is near enough to be convenient but distant enough to afford peace and quiet (apart from the noise of nearby traffic), and a chance of relaxing after sightseeing. The 275 touring pitches are in two areas – in wooded glades taking about six units each (mostly used by tents) or on more open meadows where electricity is available. Nærum, a Danish Camping Union site, is only 15 km. from the city centre and very near a suburban railway that takes you there.
DCU Camping Absalon
This site was named after the founder of Copenhagen, Bishop Absalon who, after the Viking Age, defeated the Wends on Rügen and beheaded the false God Svantevit. The site is on the edge of Copenhagen with good traffic connections to the inner city by bus and train (timetables available from reception). Absalon has 475 pitches (all for tourers) with 13A electricity on pitches that vary in size (70-100 sq.m). On the older fields, pitches are partly separated by mature trees which provide some shade, whilst the newer areas are open. To the back of the site is a large tent field and there are 31 hardstandings for motorhomes.
Båringskov Camping
Båringskov Camping is a small, cosy family campsite in Asperup, Funen, Denmark. The campsite is in a forest area with direct access to its beach. The campsite site has 130 pitches, of which 30 are for touring units and have 10-amp hook-up points available. There are also caravans and apartments available to hire. Båringskov Camping has a good selection of activities to get involved in whilst staying here, with children's entertainment organised during high season. This restaurant organises themed buffet evenings but also serves traditional local dishes depending on the season. A fishing jetty can be found on the beach, which can be reached directly from the campsite.
Kerteminde Camping
Kerteminde Camping is in Kerteminde, Southern Denmark, located by the sea and a sandy beach. It is a large, well-maintained site located 1.5 km outside the city. Kerteminde can be reached quickly on foot. To get to the beach with a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea, you must cross a road. On the site, permanent campers and tourists mix in almost equal proportions. The site has 320 grass pitches, of which 238 are for touring units and have 10-amp hook-up points. There are also 32 apartments and bungalows available to rent.
Feddet Strand Camping
This interesting, spacious site with ecological principles is located on the Baltic coast. It has a fine, white, sandy beach (Blue Flag) which runs the full length of one side, with the Præstø fjord on the opposite side of the peninsula. There are 413 pitches for touring units, generally on sandy grass, with mature pine trees giving adequate shade. All have 10A electricity and 20 are fully serviced (water, electricity, drainage and sewerage). The sanitary buildings have been specially designed, clad with larch panels from sustainable local trees and insulated with flax mats.
Maribo So Camping
Maribo Lake (Sø) Camping is located on the island of Lolland, Denmark. It is situated in a forest and by the Søndersø Lake, a popular spot for swimming, fishing, and boating. You will find 216 grass pitches on site, of which 200 are for touring units with 16-amp hook-up points available. There are also 11 log cabins or bungalows available to hire. Several facilities are on-site for the whole family, including an outdoor swimming pool and mini golf course. For food options, there is an on-site restaurant, bar, and shop with all the necessities needed to cook a delicious meal back at your pitch.

Known as the Garden of Denmark, Fyn has some of Denmark’s most picturesque and historic castles and manor houses and Odense is famous as the birthplace of the great fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen. Sjælland is the largest and most important island of Denmark with coasts indented by bays and fjords. The main city is Copenhagen, the Danish capital.
