This all-year site is a recent addition to the Huttopia group. It’s located close to the pretty village of Léon, and has been extensively renovated. There are 210 pitches here some of which are occupied by mobile homes, Romany style caravans and chalets (all available to rent). The touring pitches are of a good size and well shaded and most have electrical connections. Leisure amenities include a swimming pool, children’s playground, bar/restaurant and shop. Cycling is very popular here, with some excellent trails leading through the surrounding forest, including the long distance Vélodysée, which runs close to the site.

For many, the main appeal here will be the vast sandy beaches for which the region is deservedly famous. To the south, the stylish resorts of Biarritz and St. Jean de Luz have enduring appeal, while to the north, Europe’s highest sand dune, the Dune de Pyla is well worth a visit.

Directions to Camping Huttopia Landes Sud

Approaching from the north (Bordeaux), take southbound A63. At Castets take westbound D42 and then southbound D142. Turn right to join D374 as far as St. Michel Escalus, and the site is well signposted from here.
