Alan Rogers Review of Camping Sandaya Sanguinet Plage
Approached by a road alongside the lake, this Sandaya group site is surrounded by tall trees. Of around 350 pitches, the 69 sand/gravel pitches are of average size, mostly level with varying degrees of shade. Most have 6A electricity connections. Low hedges and young trees divide those available for tourers and most are set away from the mobile homes and chalets. An impressive central pool complex is open all season and includes a covered heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool, water slide and flume, children’s pool and jacuzzi. There are plenty of walks, cycle rides and the lake to enjoy.
The poolside bar and restaurant are open all season and the shop is open in July and August when the site becomes busier. The site offers watersports, minigolf, a children’s club, boat trips and organised activities. Volleyball, tennis and boules are available all season. Fishing is also available. The charming small village of Sanguinet is 2 km. away with a supermarket and shops, bank, bars, restaurants and an archaeological museum.

Three toilet blocks include washbasins in cabins, showers and British style toilets (not all open in low seasons). Accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway. Indoor and outdoor pool complex with jacuzzi. Play area. Games room and TV in bar. Tennis, volleyball, boules. Sports equipment available to hire. Bicycle hire. Club for children. Dogs are not accepted in July/Aug. Gas barbecues only.
