Alan Rogers Review of Camping Huttopia Arcachon
This campsite enjoys a position well back from the hustle and bustle, where nights are quiet, and facilities are of a high standard. The 300 touring pitches are divided into areas for caravans, motorhomes and tents and are on neatly formed terraces beneath tall pine trees. All of them have 6/10A electricity.
The site is quite hilly, and the narrow roads that wind around it could possibly make it difficult for larger motorhomes to manoeuvre and find suitable pitches. At night, wardens ensure that security and noise levels are controlled. A 1 km. walk takes you to the town of Arcachon, where plenty of shops, bars and restaurants exist. However, the campsite restaurant, bar and takeaway services are open from April to October if you prefer to stay on site.
Water sports, paragliding, sailing, tennis tournaments, climbing the biggest sand dune in Europe, and not forgetting such gastronomic delights as oysters and mussels, are readily available.

Three sanitary blocks include facilities for children and accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Washing machine, dryers. Fridge hire. Shop, restaurant, snack bar and takeaway (April-Oct). Bread delivery service, Swimming pool (high season), Toddler pool, Bicycle hire. Play area. Games room. Table tennis, Table football, Children’s club and entertainment for all ages (July/Aug). Electric barbecues only, and a communal area is provided. Internet access. Pets allowed.

Approaching Arcachon from Bordeaux on the N250 take exit for Pyla-sur-Mer (D217E1). Cross over bypass following signs for Abatilles. Pass golf club. At next roundabout follow signs for Camping. Take care as the route travels through suburban housing. Follow campsite signs.
