Camping Soulac Plage is a member of the established Sandaya group and can be found at the northern end of the Médoc. The large site is close to the attractive seaside town of Soulac-sur-Mer and with access to a broad sandy beach. Camping Soulac Plage boasts a good range of facilities including an aqua parc, complete with water slides and a wide sunbathing terrace. Some pitches are shaded and most have electrical connections (10A). The site is predominantly mobile homes, but there are over 200 touring pitches. On-site amenities include a restaurant/snack bar and a well-stocked shop. The site is lively in peak season with varied entertainment for all ages.

The site is on the Atlantic coast and is well located for ocean-based watersports lovers. Soulac is an elegant town, 3 km. from the site, which became fashionable in the 19th century. There is a good selection of cafés, bars and restaurants and it is a well established centre for watersports – a surf school is just 300 m. from the site. Sand kites are available for hire in July and August or you can walk for miles along the sandy shoreline. For the more adventurous, parachute jumps can be arranged at the small local airport. A little further afield, the world-famous Medoc vineyards merit a visit, with many opportunities to sample the produce. The short ferry trip across the Gironde estuary to Royan is also highly recommended.

Directions to Camping Sandaya Soulac Plage

Soulac can be found northwest of Bordeaux. If approaching from the north, use the Royan-Pointe de Grave ferry (toll) and then head south on D1215 to Soulac. The site can be found south of the town on Boulevard de l’Amélie.
