As this site is just a short way from the autoroute exit and within easy walking distance for the city centre, it could make a useful night stop if travelling from Luxembourg to Nancy or for a longer stay if exploring the area. By the Moselle river, the 151 pitches are on fairly level grass and most are under shade from tall trees. Sixty-five pitches are fully serviced and 84 have electricity (10A). Tent pitches have a separate place beside the river.
The new Pompidou-Metz Art Centre is well worth a visit, if only to see the building’s wonderful architecture.
Facilities at Camping Municipal de Metz-Plage
The two sanitary blocks, one newer than the other, are acceptable if not luxurious. Accessible Facilities. Baby room. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Hardstanding pitches for overnight stops for motorhomes without electricity. WiFi (free). Bicycle hire. Fishing (permits for sale).
