The site is a pedestrian zone; vehicles can drive to and from the pitches upon arrival and before departure. Otherwise, campers must use the adjacent parking area.

The 327 touring pitches are of a good size. Choose between the standard (80m²) with electricity (5A), or a number of ‘Grand Confort’ pitches are available (about 100m²) with 10A electricity, water and drainage.

Bordered by the Moselle river, surrounded by the mountains of the Vosges and located just off the town square, this site is open all year making it a good base from which to explore in summer, and ideal for skiing in winter, when you might be tempted to rent one of the 40 chalets. Domaine de Champé is a level site with 80 touring pitches, all with 4/12A electricity, spread over a fairly large area on both sides of a tributary stream, so some are quite a distance from the facilities. The Casino is open all year and is very popular.
Les Hameaux des Lacs is a member of the Chalets en France group. This group comprises four chalet parks in southern France. Please note, however, that there are no touring pitches here. The site is open all year and can be found at the heart of the Tarn et Garonne department, south east of Montauban and forms part of a Base de Loisirs. Across the river from Sully-sur-Loire with its imposing château, this all-year-round site makes a comfortable base for exploring this part of the Loire valley. There are 100 varying sized, level stony/grassy pitches with 80 for touring, all with 10A electricity, water and drainage. They are mostly arranged in groups of six surrounded by low hedging with a few trees giving just a little shade. It is just 300 metres away from Orcet, a typical Auvergne village just south of Clermont-Ferrand. Being close (3 km) to the A75, and open all year, it makes an excellent stopping off point. It has a calm atmosphere, which may tempt you to stay longer. The 85 good sized pitches are on level grass, separated by high, neatly trimmed conifer hedges, offering lots of privacy and some shade. All have 10A electricity and eight are fully serviced. Situated on a gentle hillside, the higher pitches have better views but less shade than those lower down. The bar, restaurant and pool areas are close to the reception and entrance thus ensuring the remainder of the site is more tranquil. In winter, only 20 pitches are available.
Le Futuriste is a neat, modern site, open all year and very close to Futuroscope. Its location is also very convenient for the A10 and N10 motorway network. Duckboards are provided for snow and wet weather. Formerly known as Camping le Versoyen, this is a good base for winter skiing, summer walking, climbing, rafting or canoeing, or for car excursions.
Just 15 minutes from the Mediterranean coast at Agde, Domaine de Sainte Veziane is a residential park that is ideal for families with younger children. There are no touring pitches here, but 120 chalets and mobile homes, of which 75 are for hire. The original part of the site requires some up-and-down walking, but is very pretty, with flowering shrubs, mature trees and hedged pitches. The newer part is more open and may be subject to road noise. The pool area is the focal point of the site and has plenty to keep the whole family busy - slides and games for the children and a Jacuzzi and sun terrace for adults.
Campsite Les Peupliers is an all-year-round site, the staff are very friendly and speak good English. You can walk into the village and get supplies. This is a very quiet, very "French" site. There is a railway to one side, but the noise does not intrude. Lots of dog walking and general walks (and cycle rides) along the canal. You are advised to approach from Montardy to avoid the very narrow streets in the village. The toilet facilities are spotless and include a nice parent & child unit. A good overnight halt for those going further south - especially in the winter. It is possible to rent mobile homes and bungalows. The site has a children’s playground outdoor swimming pool and toddler pool, snack bar, pizzeria and restaurant. The site also supplies fresh bread. You can also use the internet, as there is a Wi-Fi point.
Les Acacias is a small simple site, named after the surrounding acacia trees. In a rural location, the site is within easy reach of the A10 (5.5 km). Many gardens, museums and chateaux are nearby to visit and the picturesque site is set just a short distance from the Loire river. Probably the main reason one would stay here is that there is direct access along the river bank to Tours city centre. Separated by trees and shrubs, the 50 touring pitches are 100 sq.m. in size and have grass and gravel surfaces; 10A electricity is provided to 66 pitches. Mobile homes are available to rent. English was spoken by the reception staff when we visited.

The idyllic River Yonne gently flows just metres away, as does the Nivernais Canal. The campsite is an oasis of tranquillity, surrounded by vineyards, castles and attractive villages, all demanding to be investigated.
Open all year, this site is in the heart of the Eure valley close to the small village of Villiers le Morheir. Most of the pitches are separated by well trimmed hedges, only a few have shade. Some may be muddy in wet weather. There is no restaurant or bar on the site but a good bar is in the village. Those looking for a quiet site in this most attractive area without the ‘animation’ programmes that so many French sites feature will find this a peaceful base.
