In the heart of the Cornish countryside, River Valley is close to the beaches. Walkers and cyclists can join the adjacent Pentewan Valley Trail (St Austell to Pentewan) and head off to beaches, coastal villages and the gardens at Heligan. It is a family run park that prides itself on being quiet and well tended. The site falls into two halves, one with 40 static caravans for hire and the second offering 45 level, hardstandings for touring, all with 10A electricity. The touring pitches and statics are well separated. The touring pitches are a generous size and are separated by low level hedges and wooden trip fences. The park is adjacent to the River Winnick and an energetic walk away from Pentewan village and beach.

This attractive, peaceful campsite, the winner of a David Bellamy Conservation Award (2018/19) is adjacent to the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal. The site is located behind the Tudor Arms public house, and before the narrow swing bridge. At the rear of the pub car park, a gate clearly identifies the entrance and the recently developed reception is just inside on the right. There are many trees and hedges, particularly surrounding the site, so the canal is not visible. Attractively laid out on two separate fields, there are 75 pitches, all with 16A electricity hook-ups, and 50 with hardstanding. The old orchard is for extended stays or adults only units, with gravel hardstandings, and the more open grassy meadow for family touring units. There is also a rally field beyond the meadow.

Cofton Holidays
A popular and efficient, family run park, Cofton is 1.5 miles from a sandy beach at Dawlish Warren. It has space for 450 touring units, including large motorhomes, on a variety of fields and meadows with beautiful country views. Although not individually marked, there is never a feeling of overcrowding and there are some pre-bookable, accessible pitches. The smaller, more mature fields, including a pleasant old orchard for tents only, are well terraced. While there are terraces on most of the slopes of the larger, more open fields, there are still some quite steep gradients to climb, rewarded by the views. There are some 450 electrical connections (10A), 63 hardstandings and 20 ‘super’ pitches. Self-catering accommodation on site includes holiday homes, cottages and apartments.
Bridport Bingham Grange Caravan and Motorhome Club site
Bridport Bingham Grange was acquired by the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 2018 and was scheduled for redevelopment early 2020. However the long Coronavirus lockdown prevented this happening and there is no fixed date for the works commencement. The site is currently a very well maintained, purpose built park, attractively laid out and with a very comfortable restaurant. In a pleasant, rural situation two miles from the market town of Bridport, there are views seaward towards West Bay and inland across Beaminster Downs and Pilsdon Hill.
Sandford Caravan Park
Sandford Park is an ‘all singing, all dancing’ park with a wide range of facilities, close to the popular coastal areas of Dorset. It has a large permanent section with caravan holiday homes and lodges. However, the touring section is in an attractive secluded area and can accommodate around 354 units of any type. The pitches are mainly on level grass, either with mature evergreen hedging, or in a more open style area broken up by shrubs. All have 10A electricity connections and 13 are fully serviced. Early booking is advisable.

Riverside Caravan Park
As you leave the A38 for Plymouth, negotiate the Marsh Mills roundabout and approach through a light industrial estate, you can have no idea that there is a lush green touring park tucked away from the modern, out-of-town shopping units in a quiet green valley. Part of the park is being developed to provide a residential area alongside the River Plym which has therefore meant a reduction in the number of touring pitches. However, there are still some 200 spaces available for touring, 130 of which have 10A electricity, and 65 are on hardstanding. There are also 59 grass pitches for tents. Hidden behind a high, evergreen hedge are an attractive swimming pool and children’s pool. A play area is nearby and a pleasant restaurant with a bar and games room provide welcome facilities and entertainment in high season.
Langstone Manor Holiday Park
Situated on the southwest edge of Dartmoor, this holiday park has been developed on the grounds of the old Langstone Manor house. The touring pitches are tucked into various garden areas with mature trees and flowering shrubs or in the walled garden area with views over the moor. There are 40 level grass pitches, which vary in size (35 with 16A electricity). A popular camping area has been terraced with open views over farmland and the moor.

Polmanter Touring Park
A popular and attractively developed park, Polmanter is located high up at the back of Saint Ives with wonderful sea and countryside views. The Osborne family has worked hard to develop Polmanter as a complete family base. Converted farm buildings provide a cosy lounge bar with a conservatory overlooking the heated swimming pool.
St Ives Bay Holiday Park
A large and spacious site with pitches laid out amongst undulating dunes leading down to its own three-mile-long sandy beach. Some of the pitches have lovely views over St Ives Bay, while others are more sheltered by the large dunes and may be some way from the beach.
Worth noting...

Unfortunately we can't guarantee full level access and accessible facilities at all the sites we've mentioned above. We're pushing for more accessibility transparency from sites across the UK and Europe, and hope that more sites make use of our new accessibility search filters and badges.
