The road into Marmotel passes various industrial buildings and is a little off-putting – persevere, as they are soon left behind. The campsite itself is a mixture of old and new with a total of 90 touring pitches available and a similar number of mobile homes for rent. The old part provides many pitches with lots of shade and separated by hedges. The new area is sunny until the trees grow. These 40 pitches each have a private sanitary unit with shower, WC, washbasin and dishwashing. New and very well designed, they are reasonably priced for such luxury. All the pitches have electricity (10A). A lovely restaurant has a wide terrace with views of the hills and overlooks the heated swimming and paddling pools.

The swimming pools have fountains, a toboggan and sun beds either on grass or the tiled surrounds. The Lot river runs alongside the site where you can fish or canoe and swimming may be possible. The old town of Saint Geniez-d’Olt, just 500 m. away, can be reached by a riverside path. Here you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants along with small clothes shops and regional products.

Good sanitary facilities include baby baths and accessible facilities. Washing machines. Bar/restaurant, takeaway. Swimming pools. Small play area. Multisports area. Entertainment (July/Aug) including disco below bar, cinema, karaoke, dances, miniclub for 4-12 yrs. Bicycle hire. Fishing. Canoeing. WiFi on part of site (free).
