Alan Rogers Review of TCS Camping Sempach
Lucerne is a very popular city in central Switzerland, and nearby Camping Sempach is an ideal base from which to visit the city and explore the surrounding countryside or, being a short way from the main A2 Basel - Chiasso motorway, is a convenient overnight stop if passing through. Ask reception for a local map showing recommended walking and cycling trails.
This neat, tidy site next to Lake Sempach has 200 pitches for touring units (most on grass), all with 6/13A electricity. Water connections are also available to 77 of the grass pitches. Much of the site is occupied by seasonal units, but these are well-tended and not obtrusive. There are 17 chalets, with two fitted out with accessible facilities. Two large grass areas have been provided for tents.
A visit to attractive Lucerne is a must and Bern, Zurich and Interlaken are less than an hour’s drive away. Excursion tickets for mountain trains are available. The friendly, English speaking wardens will be pleased to advise on local attractions.

Three good quality sanitary blocks have the usual facilities, including 14 private washing cubicles, baby rooms and excellent accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Hot plates, fridges and freezers. Dishwashing By Easybe, Two motorhome service points. Excellent self-service bar/restaurant/takeaway with a terrace overlooking the play area, lake and surrounding hills. Well-stocked shop. Children’s paddling pool and playground. Lakeside beach. Pedalo rental. Electric barbecues are not permitted (communal area provided). Chalets for hire. Free WiFi throughout.
