Parque de Campismo Colina do Sol is a spacious and well-appointed site situated close to a beach, and the village of São Martinho do Porto. It has around 320 touring pitches on grassy terraces, some marked by fruit and ornamental trees. Electricity (6A) is available, and there are numerous seasonal caravans. The attractive entrance, with its beds of bright flowers, is wide enough for even the largest of units.
The nearest beach is reached via a gate at the side of the site; it is a stiff walk and is described as ‘wild and dangerous for swimming’. In the village, the beach is very safe, and there are some good shops, bars, restaurants and a market on Sundays. This is a convenient base for exploring the Costa de Prata and excursions to Leiria's charming old town. A short drive to the north is the fishing village of Nazaré, which has a long stretch of sandy beach with opportunities for watersports. To the south, the saltwater Lagoa de Óbidos also offers water sports, riding, and golf.

Two large, clean toilet blocks with showers, open-style washbasins (some with hot water) and British-style WCs (some with bidets). Accessible facilities, A third block is opened in the high season. Motorhome services. Supermarket. Small café (limited opening in low season). Bar and restaurant. Satellite TV. Swimming pool (high season). WiFi in some parts (free).

São Martinho do Porto is 110 km north of Lisbon From A8 motorway north of Caldas da Rainha, leave at exit 21 and take EN242 towards the coast. Site is signed to right at roundabout before town.
