Alan Rogers Review of Lothianbridge Caravan Park
You will receive a warm welcome at this small, family run park. It is situated beside the A7, a major road into Edinburgh, and the entrance is through a disused but very grand railway viaduct which crosses one side. The park is level with hardstanding and grass pitches, 45 of which are for touring. The central area is grassed with some electrical points (long leads useful for some) and newly planted trees. A key controls access to the park and the sanitary facilities. There are several picnic tables for visitors to use and tall trees and shrubs provide a green perimeter. At times there can be considerable noise from a nearby road.
The family live on site so they are able to see and let in late arrivals. It is very easy to get into Edinburgh from here and to visit other places of interest. There is public transport 450 yards from the entrance.
Facilities at Lothianbridge Caravan Park
A modern toilet block also housing a well equipped en-suite accessible facilities. Laundry facilities, iron (from reception) and microwave. No shop but a few items are available in peak season. Motorhome services. WiFi. Two bungalows available to rent.
