This extensive site is some 40 km. from Passau, right at the southeast tip of Germany – the border with Austria runs through one side of the site, and the Czech Republic is very close, too. It is a very popular site and reservations may be advisable from mid-June to September, and it is very busy in winter with skiing and other winter activities.

Mainly on sloping ground with good views from some parts, it has 400 pitches with terracing in some areas, nearly all for touring units, and 100 seasonal pitches. Electricity connections (16A) are available, and water points are fed from pure springs. An area provides 50 pitches for motorhomes, all with electricity and some fully serviced. The site is open all year and has much winter sports trade, with its own ski lift.

It is a most pleasant site in a beautiful setting with 7 km. of walks available within the campsite perimeters and an attractive fishing lake. There is a friendly atmosphere here, with English spoken by reception staff.

Organised activities (July/Aug. and Xmas). Ski hire. Dog-free area.

Site is 30 km. northeast of Passau. Leave the A3 at exit 114 (Aicha/Wald) and head northeast to Hutthum, Waldkirchen, Jandelsbrunn, Gsenget to Lackenhaüser. Do not go into Neureichenau. (Warning: some sat nav systems are unreliable in this area)
