This campsite with 570 pitches (150 for tourers) is centred around an artificial lake which has a gently sloping sandy beach and is surrounded by a mass of tall pine trees. Under the pine trees there is room for 120 touring pitches, all with electricity (16A, long leads required) and TV connections, 27 also with water, cable and waste water. In this area campers can park at will, on open, sandy, grass-covered ground. From most touring pitches there are good views over the lake, and campers will enjoy the welcoming bar/restaurant with its covered terrace.

The campsite brochure, available in the attractive reception, provides details of many activities and places to visit in the region. There is a games room with billiards, darts and a few amusement machines. Adjacent to the site is a 3,400 sq.m. indoor play hall with cart track, climbing and bouncy cushion. Hertha-See provides a great holiday experience for children and teenagers, and for those who enjoy beautiful, natural surroundings, museums and a botanical garden.

Leave A30/E30 autobahn at exit 10 and drive north towards Hopsten to stop sign. Turn left towards Rheine and after 100 m. turn right. Site is signed.
