La Côte de Nacre is a large, popular commercial site with many facilities of high standards. It is an ideal holiday location for families. Two-thirds are given over to mobile homes (approx 357), and some tour operators are on the site. The 132 touring pitches are reasonable in size and condition, with 10A electricity, water and drainage. There is some hedging, a few trees and pleasant, well-cared-for flowerbeds.

The state-of-the-art, heated pool complex includes open and covered (sliding roof) areas, slides, whirlpools and water jets, and on a hot day, becomes the focal point of the campsite. The small seaside town of Saint Aubin-sur-Mer with its delightful old town buildings is ten minutes away, and the lovely promenade, perfect for brisk walks and a stop for coffee or beer, is only a few minutes further.

Also, one must not forget this beautiful coastline is famous for the D-Day Landings, with museums, memorials and numerous ceremonies taking place around 6th June. This town’s beach was the landing place for the Canadians in 1944, and there is a memorial on the seafront.

Directions to Camping Sandaya La Côte de Nacre

Travel west from Ouistreham on D514 to St Aubin-sur-Mer. Site is well signed, to the left, just off the main road in a residential area. Take care as signage is small and you are in an urban area with no turning back.
