You will be looked after by the owner, Margriet, and her husband, Franz-Josef, at this beautifully presented site in a stunning setting. There are 92 comfort pitches with electricity (16A, Europlug), water and drainage and three with electricity only. They are clearly marked on level, grassy ground and have some shade. Alongside the touring area there are 95 pitches used for seasonal units. The river and surrounding area is both a place of relaxation and activity for all the family. The owners have a small schnapps distillery on site and are happy to give visitors a tour around it.

Camping Ourtal-Idyll is close to the Luxembourg border in a nature park between Echternach and Vianden and is well placed for a variety of rural and water pursuits including canoe trips, fishing, hiking, biking and white water rafting. The surrounding area and cities include the picturesque towns of Echternach, Diekirch, and Vianden in Luxembourg and Trier, the oldest city in Germany, which has many Roman buildings.
