Camping les Castors provides a convenient starting point from which to explore Alsace. It is close to the Vosges mountains which are dominated by the Ballon d’Alsace (1,427 m). This well cared for site offers 190 pitches, 123 of which are touring pitches and 40 accommodation units to rent—ideally located next to a river for those that like a spot of fishing and a pond for natural swimming and sunbathing. To keep the kids occupied the campsite offers many facilities including a children's playground, Table tennis table, Multi-sports field and Games room.
The restaurant may well be considered the heart of the campsite for campers that don't want to cook whilst they're staying here. Great evenings and themed dinners are organised, and local cuisine of the region is offered. . The restaurant is open throughout the year and not just in the high season so you can enjoy a home-cooked meal at any time.
Bicycles can be hired on site and there are walks in the adjacent forest and the surrounding countryside. The small village of Burnhaupt-le-Haut is within 1.5 km. and has a supermarket, ATM and pharmacy.
Within easy reach are several museums and historic towns. In the nearest town of Masevaux you can see examples of houses built in the traditional style of the region.

Exit the D38 signed to Masevaux and Burnhapt-le-Haut. Take the D466 towards Masevaux. The site is signed to the right after 1 km.
