The attractive village of Kruth lies in a valley in the southern part of the hills and forests of the Vosges in excellent walking country. A leisure lake (reservoir) is 2.5 km. to the north and the area is also popular for hang-gliding. In between the lake and the village lies this spacious, well run campsite. There are 160 touring pitches. Fewer than a quarter have shade, but all are of good size, grassy, level or only slightly sloping, with 2/6A electricity supply (Europlug), and there are plenty of water taps.

A club for children is organised in July and August, plus other regular activities and entertainment. Signed walks start from the entrance road to the site, and there is pleasant cycling both from the site and around the lake.

Two modern toilet blocks (one heated) contain British style WCs, washbasins in cabins, controllable and preset showers, facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Washing machines, dryers and washing lines. Shop for basics. Gas supplies. Bar. Snack bar and takeaway (July-Sept). Small play area. Table tennis table, Multi-sports field, Boules. Nine chalets for hire. WiFi throughout.

Directions to Camping le Schlossberg

Kruth is ESE of Remiremont and WNW of Mulhouse. Shortest way (last 15 km. steep and winding) from Remiremont is via D417 to St Amé, then D43 almost to Cornimont, then Kruth. Or take N66 from Remiremont to Fellering, then north to Kruth. Site north of village, signed. From Mulhouse, take N66 to Fellering.
