This site is set in four hectares of mature oak woodland within the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses de Quercy with stunning natural scenery and only 2.5 km. from the clifftop village of Saint Cirq-Lapopie. La Truffière is well suited to those seeking a peaceful countryside holiday and it is a superb area for hiking.

Around 80 slightly sloping, terraced pitches are of varying sizes and on a mixture of grass and gravel. All have 6A electricity (long leads may be needed) and most have shade from mature trees. Access is good for large outfits but advanced booking is recommended.

In high season the campsite owners organise a range of activities including guided walks, château visits, sports tournaments and daily children’s entertainment (not always in English). There are various walks and mountain bike trails in the area.

Facilities at Camping la Truffière

Two well-appointed, clean, modern toilet blocks (one heated) include accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Fridge hire. Small shop (open all season). Bar/restaurant (seasonal), terrace overlooking pool and playing field. Takeaway (seasonal). Swimming pool, paddling pool, sun terrace (seasonal). Playing field, volleyball, basketball, football. Adventure-style play area. Trampolines. Boules. English spoken. Gas and electric barbecues only on pitches (3 communal areas). WiFi near the bar.

Directions to Camping la Truffière

From D911 Cahors-Rodez road, at Concots, turn north on D26 (signed St Cirq-Lapopie). Shortly keep left, D42. Site 6 km. on right. Approaching from north on D42 via St Cirq-Lapopie not recommended due to extremely tight turns in village.
