Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Touesse
This family campsite was purpose built and has been developed since 1987 by Alain Clément, who is keen to welcome more British visitors. Set just back from the coast road, 300 metres from a sandy beach, it is in a semi-residential area. It is, nevertheless, a pleasant, sheltered site with a range of trees and shrubs. Of the 141 level, grass pitches in bays, 90 are for touring units, all with electricity (5/10A). A plus factor of this site, besides its proximity to Dinard, is the fine sandy beach which is sheltered – so useful in early season – and safe for children. An Aqua Park, opened in 2015, features both covered and outdoor heated swimming pools, a water slide and whirlpool. The owners speak English.
There is a good choice of sandy beaches along the delightful Côte Eméraude. Buses run into Dinard with its wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. From here it is possible to take a sea bus across to Saint Malo.
Facilities at Camping la Touesse
The central toilet block is well maintained, heated in low season with all modern facilities. Part of it may not be open outside July/Aug. Baby bath. Accessible Toilet and shower. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop for basics, pleasant bar/restaurant with TV and takeaway (all season). Video games for children. Heated indoor(all season) and outdoor (1/5-15/9) swimming pools, water slide and whirlpool. Sauna. Bouncy castle. Bicycle hire. Internet access in reception. WiFi over site (charged).
Directions to Camping la Touesse
St Lunaire is 5 km. west of Dinard. From ferry terminal follow signs for Dinard on the D168 route de Barrage across the dam until the first roundabout where north onto D266 (Dinard) for 1.1 km. Left onto D786 for 1.3 km. Take third exit from roundabout (rue de la Ville Es Lemetz), after 700 m. right onto rue de la Ville Géhan for 700 m. to site on right.
