Camping du Vieux Château is situated in the famous Saint-Emilion wine region, located at the foot of the medieval castle of Rauzan. You will find centuries-old trees on the camping grounds. Rauzan is within walking distance, and Libourne and Bordeaux's cities are not far away.

The campsite gives a park-like feel and offers ample shade. There are 48 touring pitches where you can opt for a sunny pitch or one entirely in the shade. The pitches are spacious (at least 120 m2) and demarcated with hedges and trees. The campsite offers a heated outdoor swimming pool with ample space and greenery. Pot plants, loungers and sun umbrellas create a friendly atmosphere here as you have a great view of the nearby castle. There is also a circular toddler pool with a water slide and a hot tub for the adults to enjoy.

Leaning into wine explorations can begin right on-site, where there’s a bar that’s open whenever reception is. As well as stocking the usual, the bar carries a selection of wines from the nearby Caves de Rauzan, a co-operative winery five minutes from the base where visitors can take tours and tastings. If staying at the campsite appeals, there’s plenty on-site to keep the whole family entertained, including a playground, multisports ground, and pétanque court.

Directions to Camping du Vieux Château

In Rauzan towards 'gendarmerie' take the D123 opposite and follow signs to 'du Vieux Château'. 300m to campsite. Select Rue Peyruc on SatNav and follow signs to campsite.
