Camping du Mettey is an eco-friendly campsite in Vagney, France, within the Vosges Mountains region. It sits on the edge of a forest and boasts a beautifully landscaped park that spans over 5.5 hectares. The campsite is conveniently situated just 12 minutes from Gérardmer and La Bresse. It also offers easy access to Alsace, which is known for its charming villages, delicious food, and rich cultural heritage. On-site, you will find 69 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. Pitches are not delimited, but most areas of the campsite are well shaded by mature trees giving plenty of shade during the summer.
There are plenty of activities to keep you busy during your stay at Camping du Mettey. You can go hiking or biking in the surrounding forests or swimming in the natural pool, a refreshing alternative to a traditional chlorine pool. The campsite also organises various activities and events throughout the year, such as nature walks, yoga classes and live music evenings at the restaurant and bar. Camping Du Mettey focus on sustainability. They have a vegetable garden and greenhouse where they grow their own produce, which they sell in their campsite site shop and serve at the campsite restaurant.
The Vosges Mountains are a stunning mountain range with plenty of hiking trails to suit all abilities. You can find trails that lead through forests, past lakes, and up to mountain peaks with incredible views. Visit Saut du Bouchot Waterfall. This beautiful waterfall is located just a short walk from Camping du Mettey. It's a great place to cool off on a hot day or to enjoy a picnic lunch.
