De Molenhof is a pleasant family site which generally caters for children under 12 rather than teenagers. It has 450 well laid out pitches of which 430 are for touring units, all with water, drainage, electricity (10A) and cable connections. Children will enjoy themselves in the covered, adventure playground or the two heated swimming pools (one outdoor, one covered) with a large slide on the outside. The entertainment team provides a full daily programme in high season, including theatre nights in De Hooischuur, a specially designed entertainment hall.

The shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway are open every weekend, and daily in high season. An interesting feature for youngsters is the fairytale themed children’s sanitary area. For adults the site organises occasional sports tournaments, the windmill by the entrance is open Saturday afternoons, or you can explore the rich Twent region by bicycle. There are shopping opportunities in Almelo, Hengelo, Enschede or even in Germany, as you are close to the border.

Directions to Camping De Molenhof

Follow A1 from Amsterdam east to Hengelo and take exit 31, Hengelo Noord. Go through Deurningen to Weerselo and from there the N343 towards Tubbergen and site signs.
