Château le Haget can be found very close to the delightful village of Montesquiou. Set within a magnificent park, many exotic trees were brought back by the first owner from his travels around the world. Pitches here are large and well shaded, surrounded by colourful shrubs and bushes. Electrical connections (3A) are available. A number of chalets, mobile homes and bungalow-style tents are available to rent. The restaurant is in the former coach house and specialises in typically Gascon cuisine. Short, guided tours of the château are available.

On-site amenities include a swimming pool with a pleasant sunbathing terrace, a children’s play area and a small shop. One of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela passes in front of the Château and there are many other excellent footpaths in the vicinity. This is the land of the three Musketeers and Montesquiou is reputed to be the birthplace of d’Artagnan’s mother. Its old town gate and ramparts date back to the 13th century, and it’s a delightful place for an evening stroll.

Directions to Camping Château le Haget

The site is located southwest of Auch. From Auch follow the road towards Tarbes/Mirande (N21). After Miramont d’Astarac turn right, toward Isle de Noé/Montesquiou (D2). In Isle de Noé turn left to join D943 for 8 km. as far as Montesquiou, and then follow signs to Château le Haget.
