Alan Rogers Review of Woodlands Caravan Park
This pleasant caravan park is set in parkland in the beautiful surroundings of north Norfolk’s protected heathland, next to Sheringham Park (National Trust). There are 180 grass pitches, around half of which are on a gentle slope, and all have 10A electricity. They are in two main areas for caravans and motorhomes (tents are not accepted). Caravan holiday homes (160) occupy the edge of the site on three sides, all privately owned.
A major feature of this site is the superb modern toilet block with electronically controlled showers and underfloor heating. There are many lovely local walks, including one to the beach (1.5 miles). The park is within easy reach of Holt, Cromer and Sheringham, with the major birdwatching areas of Blakeney, Cley and Salthouse also within 30 minutes drive.
There is a good bar on site offering entertainment at weekends and the excellent Woodlands Leisure Club with 25 m. pool, spa and children’s pools and beauty room is adjacent to the park. The Club has swimming pools, sauna, spa, gym and other fitness facilities at a discounted rate for those staying at Woodlands.
Facilities at Woodlands Caravan Park
One excellent new toilet block provides all the necessary facilities, including accessible sanitary facilities, baby changing and laundry. Well-stocked shop. Gas supplies. Lounge bar and family bar with musical entertainment most weekends. Barbecues. Play area (fenced and gated). Adjacent Woodlands Leisure Club with an indoor pool, gym, and sauna (all year).
Directions to Woodlands Caravan Park
From Cromer take the A148 towards Holt, pass signs for Sheringham Park and site is on right (camping sign) just before Bodham village.
